in2action UK Adventure - Trust Us With Your Group
Trust Us With Your Group

It's simple. Safety is at the heart of everything we do, our business relies on it, and our people and guests expect it. We have a responsibility to keep everyone safe and secure, and we take pride in the fact that we have the highest standards of safety for everyone who visits or works on our centre.

We know what we are doing, we have been doing it for years, and we already do it for other people.

As well as our adventure centre on the Isle of Wight, we also work in partnership with leading tour operators such as First Choice Holidays, Canvas Holidays, and Park Resorts. We recruit and train staff for over 50 holiday centres and run 28 activity operations worldwide.

Safety and Management

Staff at In2action undergo a thorough and progressive training programme. Our senior staff team hold IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) and NEBOSH (National Examination Board for Occupational Safety and Health) qualifications, and also take part in ILM courses (Institute of Leadership & Management).

In2action is a member of RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents).

Health & Safety Policy

Our Safety Management System includes a Health and Safety policy, which we have written and implemented to ensure the following:-

  • • Compliance with relevant legislation, particularly the Health and Safety at Work Act   1974.
  • • Fulfilment of our general duty of care towards our employees, guests and visitors.
  • • It is in line with industry guidance and codes of practice where these are available.

Our Health and Safety policy, together with copies of all staff training and qualifications, is available for inspection by all visiting Party Leaders.

Safe Activities

We invest heavily in staff recruitment and training procedures – including excellent references, CRB checks and a rigorous pre-assessment ahead of the In2action training programme.

All our activity staff hold NGB (National Governing Body) qualifications where appropriate, and for all other activities – are trained and assessed by in-house or external qualified specialists.

Safe & Secure Location

  • • Comprehensive child protection policy in place, which includes training for all staff
  • • Staff members are police checked under an enhanced disclosure via CRB
  • • Distinct uniform and name badges for all our staff
  • • Party leaders have duplicate keys for children’s accommodation
  • • Duty instructor on call in the evenings to assist party leaders
  • • Night time security patrols by Security Industry Authority (SIA) qualified staff

Risk Assessments

Risk assessments are the core of our Safety Management System. Comprehensive Risk Assessments, which in-house experts and appropriate external advisors carry out, cover all activities and other aspects of our operation at Thorness Bay. We review and update these regularly.
