Kids’ Activity Programmes: The Benefits

A document published in 1999, some 20 years ago, noted that more than 75% of parents showed their children a holiday brochure prior to booking a break, and asked their opinion of the potential holiday destination.

With the advent of widely-available internet, and child-friendly iPads, it can only be assumed that this percentage has grown and grown in recent times.

“But the children don’t write the Tripadvisor comments” I hear you cry! This much is true, but the inclusion of a kids’ activity programme has fantastic benefits for businesses. Let’s take a look at why it’s vital not to forget the youngest family members…

If the kids are happy… the parents are happy too; or so the saying goes! As any parent will tell you, the most relaxing times are when the children are occupied, engaged and challenged with activities. Since holidays represent an escape from the day to day, isn’t it vital that we provide adults with the opportunity to relax too? Whether kids’ clubs, where parents are free to head off and enjoy a bit of quiet time or family activities to engage and excite everyone are more your cup of tea, we’ve got something for everyone in our In2action Activity Portfolio. We’ve also got 15 years of experience in designing brand new activities for partners like TUI, Center Parcs, Haven and more; so you can trust us to ensure your activity programme is tailored perfectly.

Keeping brains engaged: At In2action we are proud to have created many learning-filled activities such as Medieval Madness, which combines historical facts with active tournaments; or perhaps you’d be more interested in a Pirates Adventure, where children can not only take part in lots of challenging games but learn the basics of grid referencing and maps. Taking an active interest in, and promoting learning is also fantastic marketing tool for your business to new clients; a business that cares for the learning and development goals of children is infinitely preferable to one that does not.

Creating holiday memories: In our busy, hectic lives family time is often hard to come by. Enter the family holiday: a key time for family members to re-connect and start making memories together. What better holiday memory could there be than seeing Dad, normally found in a suit and tie, stumbling across the pool in our Water Roller? Or perhaps the memory of taking part in a family Archery competition and scoring a bullseye against your brother? As a family-run business we are well-equipped to create you a bespoke activity programme that will help make the question “ So where to next year” an easy one to answer!
